It`s nothing I would look at twice. I`m pretty sure Case didn`t rehandle that knife, some one else did. It`s still a customized knife in my book.

Post Auction Update: Much to my surprise, this knife sold for $237.50. It is a nice pearl handled toenail and yes, there is a novelty aspect to it. So, ......

At the end of the day, "collectors" value and buy what they individually want (which is the American way, is it not?), even though the "establishment" may classify a knife as "uncollectible." Interesting isn't it? I hate to think of myself as being included in the "establishment." I resist that constantly. What do we toenail collectors think about this whole concept....is it a reworked and uncollectible toenail, or is it not?

This is sure to make the discussion of Reworked knives even more interesting. I'm working on a post on that topic now. It is sure to stir things up a bit..... :-)
